After spending hours trying to figure out why Google Chrome (Linux guest) was freezing when I was on www.gmail.com, I realized it had something to do with VirtualBox. I have two workarounds for it now
- Disable 3D Acceleration
- Launch google-chrome in Xubuntu with the following switch "--blacklist-accelerated-compositing"
